Spam settings
To adjust the sensitivity level for detecting spam emails for your Microsoft Exchange 2019 Account, follow these steps:
Prerequisites:
- You will need an active Microsoft Exchange 2019 account.
Steps for configuring spam settings:
- Logging in to the management tool:
- Log in to the Exchange management tool using your Microsoft Exchange 2019 email address and the password you chose during set-up.
- Accessing junk email protection:
- Click on ‘Junk email protection’ in the menu.
- Selecting the level of protection:
- Select your preferred level of protection. The options usually include ‘Disabled’, ‘Low’, ‘Medium’ and ‘High’. The sensitivity of the spam detection varies depending on the level you choose:
- Disabled: No automatic spam protection is applied.
- Low: Only the most obvious spam emails are filtered.
- Medium: A more balanced setting that detects more spam but also increases the risk of false positives.
- High: The highest level of spam detection, though with an increased risk that legitimate emails will be incorrectly classified as spam.
- Select your preferred level of protection. The options usually include ‘Disabled’, ‘Low’, ‘Medium’ and ‘High’. The sensitivity of the spam detection varies depending on the level you choose:
- Saving the settings:
- Once you have selected your preferred level of protection, click on ‘Save settings’.
