Set up administrator rights
To set up or change the administrator user for your Microsoft Exchange 2019 account with centron, follow these steps:
- Logging in to centron:
- Log in to your centron account.
- Accessing email settings:
- Click on ‘Menu’ in the top-left corner of the main navigation bar, then click on ‘Email’.
- Selecting the correct email contract (optional):
- If you have multiple email contracts, select the contract in which you wish to assign the administrator role.
- Assign an administrator:
- Next to the email address you wish to set as the administrator, click on the cog icon.
- Select ‘Set administrator’.
- Wait for the assignment:
- Assigning the administrator role may take a few minutes. Once the assignment is complete, this will be displayed in the mailbox overview.
- Revoke the administrator role (optional):
- To revoke the administrator role for an email address, click the cog icon again next to the relevant email address.
- Select ‘Remove administrator’.
As the administrator of the Microsoft Exchange 2019 account, you can manage key functions such as assigning read and write permissions for public folders, and creating, editing and deleting resource mailboxes. It is important to choose this role carefully and to customise it as required.
