Download Outlook for Exchange

If you have purchased Microsoft Exchange 2019 as a separate licence or as an additional option, you can download the Microsoft Outlook email programme.

Make sure you have the correct version of Microsoft Outlook for your Windows PC. You can find out which version is best suited for this in our compatibility guide for Microsoft Exchange 2019.

Follow these steps to download Microsoft Outlook:

1. Log in to the Microsoft Exchange 2019 management tool using your Microsoft Exchange 2019 email address and the corresponding password.
2. Click ‘Download’ in the Outlook tile.
3. Select the version that is compatible with your operating system. For Windows 10, we recommend Outlook 2019.

Once the installation file has been downloaded, open Windows Explorer, run the installation file and follow the instructions.

Do you use a Mac? Mac users can download Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Mac or Microsoft Outlook 2019 for Mac. Download the relevant installation file and run it.

Depending on your internet speed, it may take a while to download the installation file.

Important: The "VL Serializer" programme is required to install Outlook 2016 for Mac and Outlook 2019 for Mac. To install this, you must download the file Microsoft_Office_2016_VL_Serializer_2.0.pkg (for Outlook 2016) or Microsoft_Office_2019_VL_Serializer.pkg (for Outlook 2019). You will find these files in the respective installation package. Extract the installation package. When installing Outlook 2016, run the file Microsoft_Office_2016_VL_Serializer_2.0.pkg directly afterwards. For Outlook 2019, after unpacking the installation file, follow the instructions in the accompanying text file.
