Setting up Exchange

In this guide, you will learn how to set up Microsoft Exchange 2019 for the first time using your own email address.

Important: Please note that existing email addresses cannot be used with Microsoft Exchange 2019.

Requirements: A domain must be assigned to the same customer number as that used for Microsoft Exchange 2019. The procedure for transferring a domain is described in separate articles.

Creating an email address: To use Microsoft Exchange 2019, you must create a specific email address. This must be registered under a domain associated with the same customer number as your Microsoft Exchange 2019 account.

To create a new email address in your Microsoft Exchange 2019 account:

Log in to your centron account. From the main menu in the top left-hand corner, select ‘Menu’ and then ‘Email’.

If you have more than one email account, select the relevant account for the action you wish to carry out.

In the ‘Portfolio’ section, click on ‘Create’.

Enter the email address, display name and password of your choice, then confirm by clicking ‘Save’.

The email address will be created and will be ready to use shortly. You can find details on how to use this address in your email programme in the setup guides for Microsoft Exchange 2019.

Note: Please ensure that the password does not contain any part of your display name or email address, to avoid error messages and problems when creating the email address.
