Setting up Exchange in Apple Mail

To use Microsoft Exchange 2019 on a Mac running macOS Catalina and synchronise your emails, calendars and contacts, follow these steps:

Prerequisites:

• You have an active Microsoft Exchange 2019 account.

Notes:

• If setup in Apple Mail fails, check whether there is an Autodiscover entry in your domain’s DNS settings. If not, create one.

Set-up steps:

1. Open System Preferences via the macOS Catalina Dock.
2. In System Preferences, select the ‘Internet Accounts’ menu item.
3. Click on ‘Exchange’.
4. Enter your preferred name and email address, then click ‘Sign in’.
5. Select ‘Configure Manually’.
6. Enter your password for the Microsoft Exchange account, then click ‘Sign in’.
7. Select the apps you wish to use with your Microsoft Exchange 2019 account (e.g. Mail, Calendar, Contacts).
8. Click ‘Done’ to complete the setup.

Once you have completed these steps, your Microsoft Exchange 2019 account will be set up and ready to use. Your emails, calendar and contacts will now be synchronised with your Mac.
