Outlook (iOS)
This article explains, step by step, how to access your email account using the Microsoft Outlook app (iOS 13).
Required information
- Email account; in our example, we are using hallo@centronhosting.de
- Password for the email account
- Incoming and outgoing mail servers
- Mail server ports; you can find these in the instructions
Step 1
Open the Outlook app, enter your email address and click on ‘Add account’. Wait a moment, then click on ‘Set up account manually’.
Step 2
Now, under ‘Advanced’, select the ‘IMAP’ option.
Step 3
Please enter your email address and password again, then click on ‘Use advanced settings’ at the bottom.
Step 4
Now enter your incoming and outgoing mail server details.
You will receive the name of your new server by email. It is usually different from the mail server shown in the screenshots.
Step 5
You now have the option to link further accounts. If you do not wish to do so, click on ‘Perhaps later’. Your account has now been successfully linked. If you encounter any problems, please check your details again.
