iOS Mail App

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to access your email account using the iOS Mail app (iOS 13).

Required information​

  • Email account; in our example, we are using hallo@centronhosting.de
  • Password for the email account
  • Incoming and outgoing mail servers
  • Mail server ports; you can find these in the instructions

Step 1​

Open the iOS Mail app and select ‘Other’ as the account type.

Step 2​

Next, enter your name, email address and password, then click ‘Next’.

Step 3​

Now select ‘IMAP’ at the top and enter your email address and the corresponding password in the ‘Username’ field.

Step 4​

Enter your incoming and outgoing mail servers, and enter your email address and the corresponding password in the ‘Username’ field.

You will receive the name of your new server by email. It is usually different from the mail server shown in the screenshots.

Step 5​

Select the apps you wish to use with the account and click ‘Save’. Your account is now linked and can be used as normal.
