Samsung Mail app (Android)
This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to access your email account using the Samsung Mail app (Android 10).
Required information
- Email account; in our example, we are using hallo@centronhosting.de
- Password for the email account
- Incoming and outgoing mail servers
- Mail server ports; you can find these in the instructions
Step 1
Open your Samsung Mail app, select the menu in the top left-hand corner and tap Settings.
Step 2
Click ‘Add account’ and select ‘Other’ as the account type.
Step 3
Enter your email address and the corresponding password, then click on ‘Manual setup’. Select ‘IMAP account’ as the account type.
Step 4
Some details are carried over from the previous entry.
Step 6
Now scroll down a little, enter the incoming mail server and select ‘SSL’.
You will receive the name of your new server by email. It is usually different from the mail server shown in the screenshots.
Step 7
Enter your outgoing mail server and select ‘SSL’.
You will receive the name of your new server by email. It is usually different from the mail server shown in the screenshots.
Step 8
Your email account has now been linked and your inbox should appear. Click on the menu again to view the overview.
