Secure login for Teams
Owners can set a mandatory secure login method for their team.
If this option is enabled, only team members who log in via Google or GitHub, or who use a centron account with two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled, will be granted access.
The secure login requirement can be enabled by any owner at any time for existing Teamss.
Prerequisites
- Access to the centron Control Panel
1. Enable secure login
To ensure that a team is logged in securely, first switch to the desired team in Control Panel. To do this, open the drop-down menu via the profile icon in the top right-hand corner, select Switch Teams and then choose the relevant team.
Next, use the Profile icon menu to navigate back to the Team Settings section. In the Secure Sign-In section, enable sign-in by clicking on the blue status message:

In the dialogue box that appears, confirm the activation by selecting ‘Enable Secure Sign-in’. All team members will automatically be notified by email that secure sign-in is now required.
If your own centron account does not yet use a secure login method, you will be asked to activate it straight away.
Similarly, team members without an accepted secure login method will be notified of this the next time they attempt to access the team and will need to update their login details. Access to the team will only be possible again once they have logged in via Google or GitHub or have enabled 2FA.
2. Disable secure login
Owners may revoke the requirement for secure login at any time.
To do this, go to the ‘Secure Sign-In’ section in Team Settings and click on the blue status message. In the window that appears, confirm the deactivation by selecting ‘Yes, Disable Secure Sign-In’:

Once deactivated, team members can once again use the team with a centron account without two-factor authentication enabled.
