How do I return end-of-life hardware?
If you would like us to send you upgraded or replacement hardware, please provide us with suitable packaging materials and a prepaid parcel label.
How is the rack connected (network)?
Our racks are connected at speeds of over 10 Gbit/s as standard.
How is traffic calculated?
Monthly data usage is calculated based on external data traffic – both incoming and outgoing, charged per GB (see traffic calculation). Internal data traffic within the centron platform is not charged.
How is the rack connected (power)?
The sockets are fused at 16A per socket.
How is electricity billed?
Electricity is billed once a month per kWh consumed. Current prices are listed in the Colocation price overview.
What should I look out for when choosing a Colocation provider?
When choosing a Colocation provider, factors such as location, guaranteed uptime, security measures, pricing and service level agreements, as well as the provider’s reputation and track record, are important. These are all things that centron consistently delivers.
What types of Colocation services are available?
centron offers a range of services, from simple room and power hire to more advanced services such as on-site support for all your needs.
How do I migrate my servers to the centron data centre?
Migrating your servers to a Colocation facility can be a complex process. It is important to work with a provider that has experience with server migrations. At centron, you can either post your hardware to us, deliver it yourself or install it yourself – whichever suits you best.
How do I manage my devices in centron Datacenters?
You can usually access your devices remotely via a web portal or another remote management programme. You also have the option of engaging a remote maintenance service to carry out physical tasks on your behalf, such as restarting servers or replacing hardware.
What happens in the event of a power cut or other disruption?
Colocation facilities typically feature multiple levels of redundancy, including emergency power generators and redundant cooling and network systems, to ensure maximum uptime. In the event of a fault, centron has a comprehensive disaster recovery plan in place to minimise downtime and data loss. Backup generators ensure that your equipment remains operational even in the event of a major power cut.
