Limits

Technical limits and specifications for the centron and Colocation: rack dimensions, power supply, and network and uplink options, including VLAN and IP addressing.

Rack​

  • 19" 42 U racks (H x W x D) = 800 mm x 2000 mm x 800 mm

Electricity​

  • 2 x 16 A power strips (on both sides)
  • 2 x Backmann 16 A power strips, each with 24 x C13 IT plugs
  • Maximum power consumption 3.5 kW per rack

Network​

  • Redundant multi-mode LC 10 Gbit/s (1 Gbit/s) uplink per rack
    • Single-mode available for cross-fire-compartment redundancy (no external connection)
  • Existing private VLANs can be included in centron and Colocation packages
  • Cross-fire compartment fibre-optic cross-connect (optional)
  • 10 Gbit via fibre optic per rack (optical) (optional)
    • Optionally limitable to 1 Gbit per rack
  • Dedicated IPv6 and IPv4 address blocks with RIPE
  • Separate VLAN with its own IP address range possible
