Installing OpenVPN

In this article, we’ll show you how to install your OpenVPN client and how to import your configuration file.

Installation​

Here you will find step-by-step instructions for the OpenVPN Client.

Download the latest version of the client from the manufacturer’s website.

Download the installer with the following name: OpenVPN-x.x.x-xxxx-amdxx.msi

Installation instructions​

  1. Double-click the downloaded .exe file. Then click ‘Install’.

  2. The installation will run automatically. When it has finished, click ‘close’.

If you wish to configure further settings, click on ‘customise’. If you need help, please visit the manufacturer’s website or contact our support team.

Importing a configuration file​

Here we show you how to import your VPN configuration file into your client.

  1. Launch the client and right-click on the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the toolbar. Select ‘Import file’.

  2. Navigate to your configuration file and click ‘Open’. Your connection will now be established automatically when the client starts up.
