Learn how to create, restore and permanently delete a snapshot of a ccloud³ VM. Step-by-step guide to snapshots in ccloud³.
Prerequisites
- Access to the centron Control Panel
To create a snapshot of a ccloud³ VM:

Shut down the ccloud³ VM using
sudo shutdown -h now. -
In Control Panel, select the ccloud³ VM for which you wish to take a snapshot.

On the ccloud³ VM page, click on ‘Snapshots’ and then on ‘Take Snapshot’.

You can also create a live snapshot by following the same steps without shutting down the ccloud³ VM.
To restore a VM from a snapshot:

On the ccloud³ VM details page, under ‘Snapshots’, select the ‘Snapshots’ option.

Select the snapshot from which you wish to create the ccloud³ VM.

Fill in the remaining options on the page.
To permanently delete a snapshot:

In Control Panel, click on ‘Images’ and then on ‘Snapshots’.

Click on "Delete" in the "More" menu for the relevant snapshot.

Confirm the deletion by clicking ‘Delete Snapshot’ in the window that opens.
