Availability
centron Kubernetes is operated exclusively in the centron data centre in Hallstadt near Bamberg, which is certified to ISO 27001 based on IT-Grundschutz (BSI). All data therefore remains in Germany at all times and is subject to German and European data protection legislation. This page describes the location, network connectivity and the guaranteed availability of the control plane.

The Hallstadt data centre is the only location for centron Kubernetes; it is preselected accordingly under Choose a datacentre region in the Configure network section.
As all data is processed and stored exclusively in Germany, it is subject to German and European data protection law at all times. For workloads with data sovereignty requirements, this means that there is no need to assess transfers to third countries.
Network and VPC
All resources within a data centre belong to the same VPC network and communicate securely with one another via private IP addresses. This applies across clusters and across products: ccloud³ VMs, managed servers and other resources within the same VPC can also be accessed in this way.
When creating a cluster, select an existing VPC network or create a new one.
Control Plane Availability
By default, the control plane runs as a single instance. With the High Availability option, the central control plane components are replicated, thereby eliminating the single point of failure.
centron Managed Kubernetes comes with a guaranteed availability of 99.9%. The Managed Kubernetes service specification is the authoritative document.
