What does the control plane cost?

The standard control plane is free of charge. Optionally, you can run a highly available control plane, charged per cluster per month – see the Kubernetes price overview.

How is it billed?

A fixed monthly price per plan applies. The stated price is fixed, regardless of utilisation. Current prices are listed in the price overview.

Are persistent volumes available?

Yes. Persistent volumes (CSI/PVC) are supported. You request storage through a PersistentVolumeClaim; the volume is retained when a pod restarts or is moved to a different node. See Storage Features.

What availability is guaranteed?

centron Managed Kubernetes comes with a guaranteed availability of 99.9%. The Managed Kubernetes service specification is the authoritative document.

Where do the clusters run?

Exclusively in centron's own data centre in Hallstadt near Bamberg, Germany. All data therefore remains in Germany at all times.

Which certifications are in place?

ISO 27001 based on IT-Grundschutz (BSI certificate BSI-IGZ-0773), BSI C5:2020 Type 1, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Which Kubernetes versions are supported?

You select the version when creating a cluster; the latest one is recommended. The versions currently available are listed under Supported versions.

What is the maximum number of nodes?

The upper limit for the number of nodes per cluster will be added once the value has been finalised. [DS/Product to supply]
