Support

Frequently asked support questions about centron volumes and ccloud³ VMs, including usage, utilisation, snapshots and backups.

Can I attach a volume to several ccloud³ VMs?

No, but you can add an additional layer to your ccloud³ VM with an attached volume.

Why is my ccloud³ VM showing almost 100% disk usage, even after I’ve added a new volume?

Adding a volume to your ccloud³ VM does not increase the size of its main hard disk. You must upgrade the ccloud³ VM to increase the size of its main hard disk.

Why is my enlarged volume smaller than expected?

File system tools often do not report the capacity reserved for metadata and the root user, and some report size in different units.

Why does the size of my snapshot differ from the reported disk usage?

Snapshots of ccloud³ VMs are the best possible estimate, based on disk usage. Snapshots of volumes operate at the block storage level, so the snapshot size may not match what the file system reports.

Can I download a backup or a snapshot?

At present, you cannot download backups or snapshots from centron, but you can use third-party tools to save your data locally.
