Overview

Projects are a high-level organisational concept that helps you keep Control Panel organised and navigate it more quickly, even as your infrastructure grows. Projects allow you to group resources in a way that suits their intended purpose – for example, by application, customer project, or development and production environments.

To begin with, all resources are collected in a single default project. You can then move resources to other projects as required, either individually or in bulk. Furthermore, new projects can be populated with resources straight away when they are created.

Types of resources

There are three types of resources in centron:

Project-related resourcesccloud³ VM-based resourcesIndependent resources

Project-based resources form the foundation of a project. They must always be associated with a project and can be assigned directly to one. If you create a project-based resource without selecting a project, it will automatically be added to your default project.

ccloud³ VM-based resources are indirectly assigned to a project via the ccloud³ VM to which they are linked. Within a project, you therefore access these resources via the corresponding ccloud³ VM.

Independent resources are not integrated into the project structure and have no relationship with projects.
